Have you noticed that at the beginning of the New Year, we are all excited about the change of it?
However, about this time of the New Year, we have just given up?
I propose something new. An Alternative Way of Changing, being wonderful and still not having to succomb to the social paradigms of all that "New Year Resolution" garbage that you feel defeated by now anyway...
Lets look at things in an all new way...
First.
Change your self. How? I am sure you are asking.
Well, it's easy and it's not.
You need to write down a list of things that are good about yourself. Things you like. Make it simple at frist::: You're a Good cook? You make Chocolate Ganache better than anyone else in the county? Good! List it. You're happy in hard times, list that too.
Then, amke a list nest to it of things you want to change about yourself. If I were sitting next to you, I'd pull your hair if you wrote anything about your looks! PLEASE!!! Write something you want to change about yourself that you can change. Are you in a relationship that has gone sour and in abusive? write it, you want out of that.
Are you judgemental? write that. Are you insecure about something? write that... You get the point. Then, pick one thing you want to work on in your list of things you want to change about yourself. You overspend? Pick that. Just one thing.
Now go out and get a notebook and everyday write about your change in that item. What did you do that day? Did you over come that in in that day? Write about your accomplishments and your failures.
Second
Be Persistant
Don't give up on yourself. So you have been working on the thing that you want to change and everyonce in a while, you find you are failing. Pull yourself up and keep on trying.
Third
Accept the Change, and Surf!!!
When I find that life is pulling me down and believe me my dear beloved friends, life had dragged me to the bottom a couple of times in the past, I just surf the waves. There is nothing else to do sometimes but just let things go! Sometimes life really gives us a big ole bag of dog poop, and really there is nothing we can do about it. But it is how we are to others and how we treat ourselves that we CAN do somethign about. So, Accept Change, Embrace it and Surf the Waves, my friends.
Fourth
A year later go back to your list and look at it and check off that item you have decided to change and find a new item on your list.
You can even repeat the process because sometimes when you hcange one part of the thing you don't like other things will follow.
Dont let yourself get down for falling off the band wagon.
But, Don't Hurt anyone, don't let anyone hurt you, and Just embrace you..
There is no one on earth that can love you more than yourself. And you and your family deserves to treat yourself and others in a kind and giving and loving way.
